The last time, we started talking about ways that you can get rid of headaches – whether they are cluster headaches, hunger headaches, stress headaches, et cetera – and migraines, without relying on medications that either do not work or may make you feel worse than you did in the first place. That is the problem with a lot of prescription medications. They can make you feel sick and groggy.
Sleep can help a headache, but a medication which knocks you out for its duration rather than actually making your headache go away certainly is not all that helpful.
Instead, why not try taking an ice pack and taking yourself off to a dark, dark room. Make sure that the temperature in the room is as cool as you can stand it. Too warm temperatures can often exacerbate headaches, and make you feel sick to your stomach to boot.

Over the counter medications become useless, and even prescription medications fail to help – how could they, when no one really understands why headaches even exist? Fortunately, there are a number of … unconventional, natural methods which may be able to give you some relief.
For example, muscle rubs can help – did you know that? The kind which contains blue mentholate is typically best. When rubbed on your temples, your forehead, your neck, and other pressure points on your head, such as the hollows just behind and below your ears, you will be surprised at how much relief you can experience.
Now, your humble author does not know why this happens – but speaking from personal experience, she does know that it works!
