Get Rid of Acne Naturally: Part 4!

acne2Now, let’s get back to some of these natural remedies and treatment methods.  There are a lot of them, and the nice thing about using natural methods is that you save money — and your skin.  A lot of the acne cleansers currently on the market are much too abrasive, especially if you have sensitive skin.  Using them can lead to redness, irritation — your skin can even be swollen.  Plus, a lot of these cleansers also tend to dry your skin out, so even if your blemishes disappear, you are left with dry and scaly skin.

There are, of course, a number of prescription medications designed to help acne sufferers as well.  The problem there, besides the fact that they can get really expensive, is that there are so many side effects!  A lot of times, the side effects seem worse than the initial problem.

So, a lot of people decide to go the way of, say, natural, homemade facial masks.  Masks made of honey, for instance, can be really helpful.  A lot of people don’t realize that honey actually has its own antibacterial properties, which can help cleanse the bacteria from your skin.

As we have previously mentioned, the foods you eat make a difference as well.  If you are not getting the right nutrients, try taking a multivitamin.  Make sure it contains chromium and zinc.

Get Rid of Acne Naturally: Part 3!

Now, some acne remedies are simple do’s and don’ts.  They are just as important as the actual, proactive remedies, because there are certain things that people do which can actually exacerbate their acne outbreaks.  Natually, since the main aim here is to eliminate all those pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads, you do not want to encourage them to keep forming.

So, remember when your younger, and your mother or father would constantly tell you to keep your hands away from your face and stop picking at your blemishes?  They were not doing that just so they could nag you — they were actually giving you some quality advice.

Picking and scratching at your bumps is bad.  Trying to pop a zit or squeeze a blackhead is even worse.  Not only can that lead to unsightly scarring, but it can make your breakouts worse.  Whenever you try to squeeze a bump, you are transferring bacteria from your fingers onto your face.  So actually, you can even cause infections that way.
