Using Mint Oil for Healing Purposes

mintIt comes as no surprise that mint oil can be a healer. Or, rather, the curative power of mint itself has been known for a long time. Traditionally, it was recommended as a tea or as a mixture of the leaves.

Mint oil, however, gets extracted from the entire plant, and it is said to be able to help with not only digestive problems, but also with headaches, nausea, and the problems which occur with menopause.

You see, the menthol in mint oil — of which it has high levels — has anesthetic and antiseptic qualities and effects.

It can thus also be used to help with respiratory infections. If you use it properly, it can help with headaches, coughing, colds, and even muscular cramps. The oil can also fight bacterial infections, so it may be an effective acne treatment as well.

How Heliotherapy Can Benefit Your Health

heliotherapySo what is heliotherapy? It is a method of alternative healthing which utilizes the ultraviolet raise from the sun to increase the nutrients and vitamins produced by the body for the skin.

Vitamin D will increase, which leads to a better, faster metabolism, which can help everything from losing weight to fighting illnesses.

Now, if you are like me, the whole idea of heliotherapy produces a little skepticism, because isn’t that much sun supposed to be bad for us? Isn’t it bad for our skin?

Of course it is; we have been warned about the potential harm of ultraviolet rays for years now.

However, small doses of sunlight are recommended for heliotherapy. You should not even be outside long enough to run the smallest risk of a sunburn.

Thus far, heliotherapy is touted as a natural antibiotic, an immune system enhancer, and a stress reliever.

Using The Alexander Technique To Improve Back Pain: 2

backpain1Now that we have talked a little bit about exactly what the Alexander technique really is, let’s go ahead and touch base on exactly what you are going to be doing.  Basically, when you are doing the Alexander technique, the exercises are going to be very relaxing, stress reducing and will help to straighten up your spine and help all of your muscles and articulations.

This is a technique that is usually introduced from early childhood, in order to help anyone really obtain the art of balance and movement coordination.  As people grow up though, they really fall into bad habits of slouching down or carrying too much weight on one side of them.

The Alexander technique is there to change all of that and really help you straighten up your posture and how to carry things on both sides, distributing the weight onto both shoulders.
