Now that we have talked about some of the dangers of Acupuncture, the next step is going to be warning you about some of the side effects that you might feel. One of the first is going to be the insertation of the needle itself. Some people report feeling a pinprick or even a sting and some people even claim to feel a dull ache around the needle’s side that could actually increase and last for many days after the Acupuncture session. This is not usual, but it is something that could happen.
Another common side effect is going to be the feeling of deep relaxation and also disorientation. Personally – I am not a fan of feeling like that, however – these symptoms should wear off in a day or two. Some of the more serious side effects include dizziness, skin reactions, losing consciousness and sweating – these are only in the extreme cases most of the time.
Acupuncture is safe – these things just happen to some people and they are things that you do need to be aware of before you get the treatment.

While most acupuncturists will only tell you all about the good side effects of Acupuncture, did you know that there are some bad ones that are not publicly known? Well, there are and while there are many good ones – if you are going to an untrained and inexperienced practitioner, there could be a lot of problems. Despite a lot of the reports from television and newspapers, for the most part Acupuncture is actually very safe and clean – however, you want to make sure that you do your research.
Acupuncture is all about needles and there are many different things that can happen whenever you are dealing with needles. Broken needles or non-sterilized needles are among some of the things that you might have to worry about – after all, you never know where the last needle has been.
