Aromatherapy is something that has been becoming increasingly popular these days. While most people get the essence of aromatherapy, what do you think that it is? Most people just think that it is smelling a bunch of things to calm you down from a stressful day at work, but the truth of the matter is that it is so much more than that. While you are going to be relying mainly on your sense of smell, it is not just about that.
Simply put, aromatherapy is actually a treatment or prevention of disease by the use of HOS – Human Olfactory Sense. Now, there is something different about just smelling for instance a candle that smells like lavender and actually smelling something that was meant for aromatherapy use that smells like lavender. Essential oils are the oils that are most of the time used for aromatherapy and the reason for that is because these oils are certainly the best and purest oils.
Essential oils are actually the essence of the plant – they are very, very concentrated oils and scents and actually need to be diluted by another oil such as grape seed or even almond.
